The BSc (Hons) Psychology and Criminology degree explores the complex relationship between human behaviour and crime. The programme combines core areas of psychology with key criminological themes, helping you develop a deeper understanding of criminal behaviour, deviance, and the social and psychological factors that influence them.

You will study topics such as victimology, cybercrime, and violent crime while developing strong skills in research, critical thinking, and communication. As you progress, you will explore more advanced areas including offender profiling, policing, and the psychology of persuasion. The course culminates in an independent research project, allowing you to apply theory and research methods to a topic of your choice.

You will study in our modern University and Professional Development Centre in Bury St Edmunds, part of West Suffolk College and Eastern Education Group.

Study in a vibrant and welcoming space at our University and Professional Development Centre, designed to support learners of all ages and backgrounds. From our well-equipped library and quiet study zone to social spaces like Costa Coffee, to dedicated computer areas and an innovative XR Lab, you’ll have everything you need to excel. You’ll have access beyond timetabled hours, giving you the freedom to study, collaborate and work on projects whenever inspiration strikes.
