Early years pathways
BA (Hons) Early Childhood Studies
This is an exciting multi-disciplinary programme designed for those who wish to pursue a career working with children and/or their families.
You will study a range of different subjects throughout the programme such as; child development theory, sociological aspects of childhood, children’s health and wellbeing, safeguarding, early years education, play, research methods, effective leadership in the early years, working with children and families, childhoods across the globe and the digital age amongst other subjects.
Level 5 Children, Young People and Families Manager Apprenticeship
This apprenticeship is designed for professionals aiming to develop the skills and knowledge required to manage and lead services for children, young people, and families. The programme combines practical workplace learning with formal study, covering areas such as leadership, safeguarding, service management, and working with multi-agency teams.
Access to Education
The Access to Higher Education Diploma in Education is designed for adults who wish to progress to university to study teaching, education, or related fields. The course develops academic skills, study techniques, and subject knowledge, preparing students for the demands of higher education.
You will explore topics such as child development, learning theories, teaching strategies, and educational policies, while also building essential skills in research, critical thinking, and communication.
