BA (Hons) English and History
English and History are natural complements. History provides a vital framework for understanding literary texts—and those texts in turn become part of history, part of how we interpret our past.
Our English and History programme treats the two in combination, giving you the chance to dive into key texts and issues whilst situating your learning against the grand sweep of history.
Access to Higher Education Humanities
The Access to HE Diploma (Humanities) is a nationally recognised qualification aimed at learners who want to study humanities, social sciences, or related subjects such as English and History. It provides a strong academic foundation while also developing essential study skills for higher education.
