The HND Construction Management for England is designed for students who are ready to take the next step towards more senior roles within the construction sector or progression to a full degree. This higher-level programme builds on the technical, managerial and professional knowledge gained at HNC level and develops the advanced skills needed to lead teams, manage projects and contribute to the strategic direction of construction organisations.

You will study with us full time for two days a week or part time for one day a week at the University and Professional Development Centre. Alongside your studies you will have the chance to gain valuable work experience during the rest of the week, helping you apply your learning in real projects and build a clear pathway into employment.

The programme is closely linked to the wider Built Environment campus of West Suffolk College, which has been officially recognised by the Government as a Construction Technical Excellence College (CTEC). This recognition highlights the quality of our training, our strong employer partnerships and our commitment to supporting the region’s construction workforce. For students, it means greater access to industry links, real work opportunities and a learning environment shaped by current sector needs.

Study in a vibrant and welcoming space at our University and Professional Development Centre, designed to support learners of all ages and backgrounds. From our well-equipped library and quiet study zone to social spaces like Costa Coffee, to dedicated computer areas and an innovative XR Lab, you’ll have everything you need to excel. You’ll have access beyond timetabled hours, giving you the freedom to study, collaborate and work on projects whenever inspiration strikes.
