The BA (Hons) Integrative Counselling degree offers a comprehensive training in counselling, underpinned by theory, practice, and personal development. You’ll learn to integrate key therapeutic models and develop the skills to work ethically and effectively with a diverse range of clients.
Throughout the course, you’ll combine classroom learning with experiential work and clinical practice. You’ll build confidence through counselling skills training, reflective journaling, supervision, and personal therapy – all essential foundations for becoming a professional counsellor.
You will study in our modern University and Professional Development Centre in Bury St Edmunds, part of West Suffolk College and Eastern Education Group.

Fees and entry requirements

English and Maths: Grade C/4 or equivalent
Please note: Where English is not the student’s first language, IELTS (Academic) Grade 6 IELTS 6.0 (minimum 5.5 in all components) is required.
Minimum age of 18 years but must be able to evidence a capacity for self-awareness, maturity and stability and be able to cope with the demands of the course. All applicants must undergo an extended interview process and participate in a group activity – these will be held on the same day.
Students will also be required to undertake a Criminal Records Declaration (DBS/Disclosure Scotland).
It is desirable that applicants have previously completed an introductory to counselling course and have used these skills in a helping capacity.
Applicants who do not meet the published entry requirements will be considered on an individual basis based upon prior learning and relevant experience.
