Some of the regions up and coming artists are set to host a free exhibition that will be housed inside the grounds of the iconic Ickworth Park.
The learners are on courses with University Studies at West Suffolk College and will have their work on display between 18 and 23 April between 10am and 4.30pm.
The display is called The Bridge Builder and explores themes of tolerance, resistance, and building bridges, through visual and conceptual responses.
The aim is to have pieces that reflect on living alongside differences, the quiet strength of non-violent resistance, and the ways individuals and communities connect across social and cultural divides.
Such ideologies are reflected in the life and legacy of Frederick Hervey 4th Earl Bishop at Ickworth in the 18th Century.

The art collector and former Ickworth resident has many pieces that he found, still on display at the stately home based in the village of Horringer, situated a few miles west of Bury St Edmunds.
One of the students involved is Ophelia Polley, 18, from Sudbury. Ophelia is on an Art Practice degree course with University Studies at West Suffolk College. She said: “There will be lots of diverse artwork for people to look at and I think it’s really nice to get the opportunity to have your work exhibited at such an iconic venue – the idea that people might be inspired by it, is really empowering.”
Imogen Deverell, 28, from Rougham is also on the Art Practice course. Imogen said: “I’ve created a selection of portraits related to bridge building pioneers through history who have worked for tolerance and acceptance in society. One of those portraits includes a piece of work on The Earl Bishop, based on a bust at Ickworth House – so I’m really excited about that being there.
Zara Fuller, 21, from Fordham is on level 6 BA(Hons) Graphic Communication course at University Studies at West Suffolk College.
On the exhibition, she said: “As an artist to have the opportunity to have my work on display at Ickworth is real privilege.”
Daniel Judd, 20, from Sudbury is also on a level 6 BA(Hons) Graphic Communication course
On the exhibition Daniel said: “It (Ickworth Park) is a massive tourist attraction that people visit from all parts of the country – so it is great exposure for us. I’d say the exhibition is youthful, thought provoking and inspirational.”
